Well, I think the construction is all done. It didn't take as long as I thought, and I was able to change a lot of things I've wanted to change for a while. What do you think?
We've had a fun week. Zane and I went to the park with some friends on Monday. He is sure a mobile child and I was shocked when all of a sudden he just barreled face first down the twisty slide. I wasn't expecting it. I have some video, but it just doesn't do it justice. Plus, the video is not that great because worried mom couldn't keep focused on the camera as she was too worried about having to catch the baby! It was a lot of fun and we can't wait to go back.
Can you find Zane?
I've had a little mini-crisis earlier this week as I found out that my insurance does not work with the hosptial where I was planning on delivering our baby, nor does my doctor (who we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE) have a contract with my insurance. It was very frustrating because I had checked about both of those issues back in February and was told it made no difference that the insurance would pay weather I chose hospital A or hospital B. I was also told that my doctor had a contract with them, but I guess he didn't. Of course be pregnant and emotional I called the Dr's office bawling. Anyway, it's going to work out. The doctor signed whatever he needed to sign to have the contract with my insurance and luckily he has priveleges at the other hospital, so whew!
We got to spend all day Tuesday with Grandma P., Aunt Jennifer and Aunt Jessica. We canned seven flats of strawberry jam. Lynnette was very patient with me as I was learning and I thin we only had one mishap (which I'll blame on Jessica, even though she was only doing what I told her to). I have to say that I love looking at those jars of homemade jam. It's such a satisfying feeling and so much more delicious than store-bought.
I'm thinking about going private or just switching our web address and being more careful about not using last names. I know it's a hassel for some people. Kevin assures me that we don't have anything private or suggestive that would attract creeps, but I'm just not sure. What do you think? Should we go private or keep it like it is?
We're going camping again this weekend and hopefully swimming with G&G tomorrow. It's supposed to by 97 degrees! Finally, summer has arrived!
Zane loves his puppy! I just had to get the classic photo of the buns in the air, sleeping.
Do you like his accesories? That's melted cheese dripping off that ear!

I'm doing some redesigning here. Don't know how long it will take. Sorry if the color and layout are hurting your eyes. It will get better. 'Tis the season for construction!

Kevin, Zane and I went camping Friday night. It was a lot of fun. We just went driving on a forest service road south of Estacada until we found a camp site. We had fun driving through some big mud puddles. It was also adventurous going down a very narrow muddy road only to have to back up uphill. I was a little nervous when I heard Kevin say "Oh, where'd the road go." What?! Don't say that! But we were safe. We decided to try and put Zane in the tent and see if he would sleep without us. I was convinced he wouldn't, but after a few minutes of wrestling around, he got comfortable and fell asleep. He's proved he's not ready for a big boy bed, as he kept trying to squish himself into a corner, but because there are no corners he just fell off the matress half a dozen times. Kevin made a delicious breakfast of hot chocolate and breakfast burritos. I have to say, I think one of my favorite things is having Kevin take charge on our campouts. I love to have him cook for us and take care of us. He is really in his element out there.
Kevin got to celebrate his first Father's Day as a Daddy. Zane gave him a gift of sleeping in. Good job, Buddy! Then we made him Swedish Pancakes for breakfast. We went up to Grandma and Grandpa Pickup's for dinner and Kevin was not allowed to help cook or clean up. This is very unusual as he is usually the first to start clearing and cleaning dishes. He just got to relax. Then we made him his favorite dessert--apple pie. Too bad we didnt' have any ice cream. He enjoyed it anyway. Kevin is the best Dad! He works so hard for us and is so much fun. We really are so blessed to have him as the head of our home. Look how happy he makes Zane!
We're sad that our friends Becky and Erica are leaving this week. Becky is going to BYU and Erica is going to work in Utah and then go to BYU-I in the fall. We (Zane and I) had a good time with Erica and Adrienne on Monday. We went downtown and went shopping and had lunch. Then we came home and Zane had a nap and the girls watched "Becoming Jane." (I had a little nap myself). Erica fixed dinner for us and did a great job. She's going to be a master chef by the time she comes home at Christmas. We are really going to miss them, but know they'll have so much fun and be so successful in school.
We're so glad Kevin's done with classes for the summer. We know once he's done with Grad. school it will all be worth it, but it sure hasn't been fun. We're looking forward to a fun summer together and with family.

Here's a short video of Zane walking. He started walking on Tuesday, June 3rd in the Boise airport. This was taken and Grandma and Grandpa Tolman's. He really enjoyed running around at G&G's and got a lot of practice so he could surprise Daddy when we got home.

Zane learned to walk in the Boise airport. I think this little contraption had something to do with the motivation. He had a good time piloting it. He was such a great traveler even through mom vomiting on the plane!
